I cry… a lot. I can’t help it! Ya girl is a cry baby. So I do this “healthy” thing where I pour my feelings into my art.

So crying doesn’t feel so bad when it inspires a new drawing.

(Side note: I couldn’t find any sad videos of me but I was definitely sad and fronting in this video lol. Very much “does it look like I give a fuck? cus I don’t!” And did tho.)

This Black History Month I’ve partnered with @walmartcanada to design a new illustration “My Crown”.

Creating this illustration was not only an honour but a full circle moment for me as a Black Artist.
Our hair is our crown and it is a significant part of the Black experience in so many different ways with a lot of historical context behind it.

I wanted to create something that not only would be special to me but would speak to many different Black Canadians.

You can find “My Crown” T-shirt’s and Tote Bags for a limited time in select Walmart stores across Canada. Proceeds from each shirt sold will go toward @ceetoronto for workforce development and education to create visible career opportunities for Black youth to achieve financial prosperity and a high quality of life for themselves and their families.

In 2023 during the World Athletics Championships Sha’Carri Richardson became the Fastest Woman in the World at just 21 years old.

This year Sha’Carri helped her teammates take home a Gold Medal in the 4x100 relay with a strong finish.
